To renew this lost link, we’re offering a series of 4 astro-musical lectures in which the scientific narrative (by Vincent Guillet, astrophysicist, University of Montpellier) is accompanied by a quartet of musicians led by drummer and composer Arnaud Le Meur. In this lecture staged by Aur\u00e9lie Namur, astrophysics and music exchange and play, to let you feel the dynamics at work in the Universe.<\/p>\n\n
Our common thread on this journey? The 4 seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter – so characteristic of the European art of living. Three of these evenings will be outdoors, allowing you to contemplate the celestial vault, and one, Winter, indoors.<\/p>\n\n
Each season will have its own musical composition, its own quartet, its own scientific narrative, and its own color. This red thread will enable us to rediscover the evolution of the sky over the course of the year, and to revisit the history of the Universe, in music, with a poetic and philosophical approach.<\/p>\n\n
The story, which is free of mathematical formulas but makes great use of analogies drawn from everyday life, will be illustrated on screen with astronomical images taken by the largest telescopes, as well as live images of the Milky Way taken by a digital telescope. Telescope observation will also be offered by the Association S\u00e9toise d’Astronomie dans le Pays de Thau: observation of the Moon and planets before the show, observation of the deep sky after the show.<\/p>\n\n
