Le Chai des Moulins
Unanime Créative
Atelier, Expérience participative, Exposition, Festival, Music / Concert, Projection, Meet, Residence, Public spécifique, All public, Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée

I.Peicc
Meet, All public, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole

Atelier, Public space, Expérience participative, Meet, Performance, Public spécifique, All public, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée

Atelier, Exposition, Meet, 15 - 25 ans, Young Audiences, All public, Lunel
Lunel

L'abbaye d'Aniane
Le Sonambule
Déambulation, Exposition, Projection, Meet, Residence, 15 - 25 ans, Young Audiences, Public spécifique, All public, Vallée de l'Hérault

L581-13
A project combining urban planning, urban art, visual arts, literature and graphic design.

  • Tuesday, September 12
Launch of the operation with a lecture by Arzhel Prioul and Mathieu Tremblin at 6:30pm at ENSAM (Anphi 1).
At the same time, white cards will be sent to around fifty artists, and the following day two groups of ENSAM students from Sète and Montpellier will scout the billboards.
  • In October, once the completed boxes had been returned, the students reproduced them to scale.
  • Wednesday, November 22 at 9 a.m.
All the posters collaged will be listed and located on an online digital map, and then published in the form of a publication featuring an account of the poster collage experience.
    → more information

The title of the project is the number of the article in the Environmental Code that guarantees freedom of expression in the public space, by requiring the provision of public display panels.
Two artists, Arzhel Prioul and Mathieu Tremblin, propose a protocol for taking over these free billboards by sending postcards in the form of carte blanche to other artists. After identifying the appropriate panels and contexts for the works, the completed cards are then reproduced to scale and displayed. The public space is altered, but it’s a very ephemeral art form, since anyone can cover these panels freely.

La Lisière, a new cultural third place, is coming into being at Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone. A lagoon area at the heart of a fertile ecosystem which is threatened by the rarefaction of fresh water and the rising sea water level. How can we rethink our relationship with the land, living things, water? Meetings, discussions, shows – fun ways of sparking a playful, festive and creative reappropriation of land, water and living things. An event initiated by TSV, a professional training centre for the performing arts, RECréa, the CEN conservation agency, Atelline, Villeneuve-Les-Maguelone town council and local cultural actors.

Motifs d’Évasion has invented a new literary agora. Motifs d’Évasion has invented a new literary agora. Foreign students from all over the world are invited to step up to the mike to give a five-minute talk in a public place on the importance they place on a book, an idea, an author, etc. 6 encounters to show how enriching Montpellier’s foreign students are and how proud the city is to host these budding ambassadors. There is an urgent need to listen to them, question them and do more to make our paths in the city cross, with books as the motivation for coming together. This project highlights the area of Petite Camargue and the life of its inhabitants. Objective: to talk with the guardians of the place – the salt workers – and the inhabitants, to elicit questioning about the future. Firstly, to transpose these writings into a text for the theatre, create a work and perform it. Secondly, to turn them into a scenario for a film.

By means of scientific mediation tools and a circus performance on the yacht MangeNuage around Thau lagoon and along the Occitanie coastline, the theatre company muses on the evolution of this fragile and fast-changing milieu and the uses we make of it.

Initiated by the Théâtre des 13 vents and designed by 15 cultural partners from Montpellier, Sète, Alès… this 2nd edition of the Biennial begins in Montpellier and ends in Sète. For three weeks, artistic teams working on the shores of the Mediterranean come together in a vast program of performances, workshops and encounters at the crossroads of theatrical disciplines: theater, dance, music, circus and contemporary writing. Giving the public a glimpse of creation in the Mediterranean, opening up a time for sharing works and thought, creating a space for solidarity and hospitality, crossing geographical and imaginary territories, collectively sharing the aesthetic and political questions that run through our times – this is the ambition that drives this Biennial, initiated by the Théâtre des 13 vent CDN Montpellier, conceived and supported by a group of cultural partners in Montpellier and beyond.

A series of immersive, participatory astro-musical lectures for the general public.

Captives of our over-lit cities, we’ve lost direct contact with the Universe, with the starry sky.

To renew this lost link, we’re offering a series of 4 astro-musical lectures in which the scientific narrative (by Vincent Guillet, astrophysicist, University of Montpellier) is accompanied by a quartet of musicians led by drummer and composer Arnaud Le Meur. In this lecture staged by Aurélie Namur, astrophysics and music exchange and play, to let you feel the dynamics at work in the Universe.

Our common thread on this journey? The 4 seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter – so characteristic of the European art of living. Three of these evenings will be outdoors, allowing you to contemplate the celestial vault, and one, Winter, indoors.

Each season will have its own musical composition, its own quartet, its own scientific narrative, and its own color. This red thread will enable us to rediscover the evolution of the sky over the course of the year, and to revisit the history of the Universe, in music, with a poetic and philosophical approach.

The story, which is free of mathematical formulas but makes great use of analogies drawn from everyday life, will be illustrated on screen with astronomical images taken by the largest telescopes, as well as live images of the Milky Way taken by a digital telescope. Telescope observation will also be offered by the Association Sétoise d’Astronomie dans le Pays de Thau: observation of the Moon and planets before the show, observation of the deep sky after the show.
